WALKING THE WATERSHED

Walking the Watershed is a long-term, multidisciplinary project that explores the physical, social, and political geographies of the watercourses, lands and communities that supply New York City with water.

"Views from the Watershed" Bus Tours visit sites in the Catskills that speak to the landscape, history, and politics of NYC's water system, and tell the stories of the watershed from multiple perspectives of the people who live and work in it, and manage it.

"Performing Infrastructure" workshops are for adult and youth audiences. Participants learn about the NYC water supply and how it connects NYC and the Catskills; and make a "human diagram" of the water system.
